Akhi indian restaurant

Can't fault this indian restaurant, the food was beautiful and the staff are so friendly and the best service I've ever had, we couldn't get a taxi back to our hotel so the owner got out of bed and drove us back to our hotel absolutely free of charge, very obliging if you want excellent food and excellent service come to this restaurant you do have to bring your own alcohol, which they are happy for you to do, and they do sell soft drinks

Just had a meal here tonight. The staff were friendly and polite, we had a heater next to our table which was great as it was very cold outside. The restaurant was extremely clean and has a relaxing atmosphere and lovely decor. Poppadoms and pickle tray was good. Our plates came and were heated 10/10 for this.Mixed plain curry & garlic rice was tasty and plentiful, garlic chilli chicken & chilli rice was lovely it had a good level of spice and a good sauce. We took a couple of beers to drink as no alcohol served but that wasn't a problem at all. We really enjoyed everything and will dine here again.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. Despite my last-minute request for a reservation, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, managing to secure a table for my party at 8pm. The service throughout the evening was impeccable, with the wait staff displaying a genuine warmth and attentiveness. They went above and beyond by offering a few suggestions from the menu, which greatly enhanced our dining experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the top-quality food. Although the portion sizes initially appeared small, they proved to be sufficient for our party of three. We were delighted to sample an assortment of different curries, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. If I were to make a minor suggestion, it would be to consider slightly larger portions of rice to accompany the curries. Nonetheless, the staff were exceptionally accommodating, ensuring that our culinary preferences were catered to. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, particularly for curry enthusiasts in the Lake District and its surrounding areas. From their friendly and accommodating service to the delightful array of flavorsome dishes, this establishment offers a memorable dining experience that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate.

Awesome dine-in experience. The staff were lovely, everyone was friendly and chatty and made us feel really welcome. The food was delicious too, using fresh local produce! Veggie options Decent portion sizes and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend.

A very pleasant Indian Resturant, nice ambient feel, good service by the waiting team and quick kitchen staff. I enjoyed the panner (Indian cheese) based dishes. Palak/Saag Panner & Matar Panner. Clean and quick service, can get very busy so booking a must, especially in a small town like Grange. At the time of visit, they did not have a Licence to sell or serve Alcohol, but where happy for you to bring your own where they would provide glasses.

Best butter chicken my wife has ever had. I've had alot of curry's and this rates among the best, can't fault.

Spent a weekend away and decided to eat here for the last night. Can honestly say the customer service was absolutely brilliant, such attentive staff. It has a nice and cosy atmosphere too. The food came nice and warm and it was delicious. Portion sizes are nice and big too, look forward to visiting again in the future!
